Our dog training approach is rooted in expertise, discipline, and a genuine passion for bringing out the best in each dog. We specialize in a diverse array of services, including Basic Obedience, Advanced Off-Leash Training, and Behavior Modification, all customized to suit the unique needs of your dog and your lifestyle. Whether you have a puppy requiring foundational training or a mature dog facing specific behavioral challenges, we offer a personalized, results-driven training experience that ensures both you and your dog find success.

What distinguishes us is our commitment to clear, effective communication and our Trust, Obey, Perform method, which focuses on establishing a strong relationship built on mutual respect. Through consistent and balanced training, we help your dog develop the confidence and reliability necessary to perform in any environment—be it at home, in the park, or on a bustling city street. Our aim is to assist you in raising a well-behaved dog that is not only a joy to have around but also capable of reaching their full potential.

We also believe that training should not only address behavioral issues but also promote a sense of freedom and happiness for both the dog and the owner. That’s why we offer practical solutions that emphasize real-world situations, ensuring that your dog can interact confidently with the world around them. From teaching essential commands like Sit and Stay to developing advanced off-leash skills and resolving specific behavior issues, we equip you with the tools to forge a strong, balanced partnership that endures.

Head Trainer: Breanna Anderson

Our head trainer brings unmatched dedication and passion to every dog she works with. With years of experience caring for animals of many species, her greatest joy lies in helping dogs, especially those from shelters and rescues, reach their full potential. She has personally rescued multiple dogs and even trained some to become service dogs, showcasing her deep commitment to improving their lives and strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners.

Her expertise shines in in-home integration training, where she specializes in guiding dogs with anxiety, reactivity, and aggression toward a balanced, confident life. Sought out for her patience and professionalism, she has become an incredible asset to the company and transformed countless dogs into well-adjusted family members through tailored training programs and compassionate care.

What sets her apart is her ability to connect with each dog she meets, lighting up with enthusiasm and determination as she discovers their unique personality. Her goal is to help every dog and owner create a close, trusting relationship, ensuring that both thrive together. When you work with her, you’re not just getting a skilled trainer; you’re gaining a partner who is deeply invested in your dog’s success.

Owner: Ryan Loseke (CPDT-KA)

As a Special Operations military veteran, I bring discipline, precision, and real-world structure into dog training. I spent over a decade working alongside elite Multi-Purpose Canine handlers in SOCOM and have 15 years of experience instructing in high-risk training environments, I specialize in simplifying complex behaviors and delivering results on accelerated timelines.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), earned through over 500 documented hours training dogs and owners, and a rigorous exam with a nearly 50 percent failure rate. Every candidate taking the exam is already an experienced dog trainer who has met strict requirements just to qualify.

Since launching TOP Dog Training in January 2025, we have rapidly established ourselves as a leader in the industry. In our first year, we earned 1st Place in the Topsail Top Choice Awards, were named Regional Best in North Carolina, and ranked among the Top 3 Dog Training Companies in Onslow County.

Our program is built on real-world results. We have collaborated directly with local veterinarians to resolve complex behavioral cases and developed community outreach initiatives that are actively improving dog ownership standards.

My mission is simple: help owners build reliable, obedient dogs and create a better life at home through our proven system: Trust, Obey, Perform.

CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA)

The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) is the gold standard for professional dog training certification, designed to separate experienced, knowledgeable trainers from the rest of the field. The CPDT-KA credential requires extensive hands-on experience and passing a comprehensive, science-based exam that evaluates real-world training knowledge, not theory alone. This is not an entry-level test. It is built for working trainers, and the nearly 50 percent failure rate reflects just how demanding and precise the standard truly is.

This structured, results-driven program effectively teaches practical dog training techniques. The certification focuses on clear communication, behavioral problem-solving, and effective training strategies to cultivate well-balanced dogs. Trainers are trained to assess individual dogs, create tailored training plans, and implement proven methods to foster reliable obedience, confidence, and engagement in real-world settings.

Robert Cabral's Shelter Dog/Professional Dog Trainer Certification

This specialized program focuses on training and rehabilitating shelter dogs to enhance their chances of adoption. Trainers gain skills in behavior assessment, structured obedience, and rehabilitation techniques tailored for fearful, reactive, and high-energy dogs. The program highlights effective handling methods, trust-building exercises, and training strategies that increase the adoptability of shelter dogs while assisting shelters in reducing return rates and improving successful placements.

International Association of Canine Professionals Active Member

Joining a globally recognized organization dedicated to upholding high professional standards in dog training, behavior, and handling offers numerous benefits. Active members gain access to ongoing education, networking opportunities with leading trainers, and resources that advocate for ethical, effective, and science-based training methods. Being part of IACP not only showcases a trainer’s commitment to professional development but also highlights their pursuit of excellence in canine training.

This certification verifies a trainer’s expertise in the proper and ethical use of prong collars. It includes essential training on correct sizing, placement, and handling techniques to ensure safe and effective training. Trainers showcase a profound understanding of how to responsibly utilize this tool to enhance communication, reinforce obedience, and improve behavioral outcomes, all while prioritizing the dog’s comfort and well-being.
